The wild side of Cambodia, planned properly
Gibbons calling at dawn in Keo Seima. Retired working elephants in the forest near Sen Monorom. Rainforest rivers in the Cardamoms. Getting there takes planning: long roads, providers that run on set days, and choices that matter. We help you get it right.

One focus: the nature, wildlife and communities beyond the temples
Cambodia Path plans trips to Mondulkiri, Keo Seima, Kratie, the Cardamom Mountains and Ratanakiri. We work out realistic routes and road times, line up each provider on the right day, and set it all out in one written proposal that names who delivers each part of your trip.
We are a small planning service run from Europe. We are not a tour operator and do not employ guides: the sanctuaries, wildlife projects, community enterprises, lodges and drivers who host you are independent, and your proposal says exactly who they are.

East or south-west?
Phnom Penh sits between Cambodia’s two great nature regions. Most trips choose one of them; two weeks fits both.
The east · 359 km from Phnom PenhMondulkiri and Keo SeimaHill forest at about 800 m, an observation-only elephant sanctuary, and dawn treks to a habituated gibbon family with Bunong guides. Kratie’s river dolphins on the way.
The south-west · about 195 km from Phnom PenhThe Cardamom MountainsRainforest rivers, a village-run ecotourism project at Chi Phat, or a comfortable tented camp reached by boat. Pairs with Kampot and the coast. The road is the hard part
No airport serves Mondulkiri or the Cardamoms. Every trip here is shaped by road distances, which we measure rather than guess, and by the days each provider runs.

Start with the decision in front of you
- Is Mondulkiri worth the long road?Yes, with at least four days. Here is what the journey involves and what you get for it.
- Which elephant visit is genuinely hands-off?What “sanctuary” can mean, the questions to ask, and the rules each provider publishes.
- Can I do it without a motorbike?Yes. Pickups, private drivers and what to agree with them.
- Mondulkiri, Ratanakiri or the Cardamoms?Distances, wildlife, comfort and seasons side by side, with a clear view.
- Is it affected by the Thai border advice?Which places are inside the 20 km zone, and which are hundreds of kilometres away.

Where we stand today
Cambodia Path is new. Our planning guides are researched from the providers’ own published information, official advice and measured distances, and each page shows its sources and the date we checked them. We do not publish reviews we have not received or relationships we do not have. At present, proposals list each provider with how to book and pay them directly. What we check, and what we don’t.
Tell us what you want from eastern Cambodia
Share your dates, what you hope to see and how you like to travel. We reply with a first view of the route and, when you are ready, a written proposal with the price, what it includes and who provides each part of the trip.
